How do I move my data from my PC to my U3 drive?

It's relatively simple to move your data from your PC to your U3 drive. Here's what to do:
  • Install Accomplice on your U3 drive. Just download the U3 version of Accomplice from our website (www.accomplice.com) and install it on your U3 drive.
  • Once you have Accomplice installed, you'll need to grab your Accomplice data from your PC and slap it on the U3 drive. To do that follow these steps:
  • Click on Windows' Start > Run, and type in the following when the text box appears (then click "OK"): %appdata%\Accomplice
  • A window should pop up with a folder in it named "default." Copy that folder.
  • Next, navigate to your U3 drive. The easiest way to do that is to click on the "Explore U3 drive" option in the U3 launchpad (which should be accessible in the bottom right corner of your screen). Sometimes the wording is a bit different, depending on the drive you have -- it may be labeled "Explore F:" or something of that sort instead.
  • When that window pops up, you should see a folder named "Documents." Open that one, and you should see another named "Accomplice." Open up that folder, and paste your "default" folder there. If a folder named "default" is already there, paste over it -- this will replace whatever Accomplice data you had on the U3 drive with that from your PC. That's it!
  • Finally, to avoid confusion you should probably uninstall Accomplice from your PC, and delete the data as well -- otherwise you may accidentally run Accomplice from your PC and create some sticky situations that could be annoying to have to recover from. Just open the Control panel and click "Add/Remove Programs." Once the window appears, click to remove Accomplice -- this will uninstall the program. Next, go back to your %appdata%\Accomplice directory, and delete everything in there (you may first want to run Accomplice from your U3 drive just to ensure that the transfer worked properly).

You should then be all set with all your Accomplice info on your U3 drive!

Note: We do not recommend that you transfer your data back and forth repeatedly from your PC to your U3 drive, as ANY oversight can create confusion, data-loss, and even data corruption for anyone you are sharing activities with. The instructions listed here are intended as pointers for a one-time transfer.
