How do I move my Accomplice data from one computer to another?

If you have already registered Accomplice on one computer, but you wish to move your profile to another computer, you can do so by following the steps below. Note that the process described below is not the same as using a single Accomplice profile on multiple computers which is not supported at this time.

1. Make sure that Accomplice is installed on both computers. If you are using a U3 Smart flash drive, make sure that Accomplice has been installed on the U3 stick. If open, close Accomplice on both computers.

2. Start on the computer where you have the Accomplice profile you wish to move (Computer 1).

3. Click on the Windows' "Start" button, and select "Run."

4. Type the following into the text box, and press <enter>: %appdata%\Accomplice

5. When the window opens, you should see a folder labeled "Default." This is your Accomplice data. To move this data to a different computer you can either cut and paste it onto a USB stick (it doesn't matter whether or not it is a U3 Smart drive), zip it up and send it as an email attachment, or place it on a shared network. No matter how you choose to move your data, we highly recommend that you delete the "Default" folder after you have completed this process.

6. On Computer 2, click on Windows' "Start" button and select "Run."

7. Type the following into the text box, and press <enter>: %appdata%\Accomplice

8. You're almost done now... When the window appears, paste the "Default" folder that you removed from Computer 1 here. NOTE: this will replace the Accomplice profile (if any) that you have registered on Computer 2. If you do not want to delete this profile, you should copy Computer 2's "Default" folder to a secure location first.

9. You're done! Your Accomplice profile has now been moved from the first computer to the second. You can now add new activities, organize old ones, and pick up sharing right where you left off on your first computer.

NOTE: if you would like to move your Accomplice profile to a U3 Smart drive, just move (i.e. cut/paste) your "Default" folder from the original location to the "Documents\Accomplice" directory on the U3 drive (which will vary depending on your computer, often it is E:\ or F:\). Make sure that you delete the "Default" folder from its original location after you have completed the move.
