Import Activities and Notes from a Spreadsheet
You can easily import information from spreadsheets into Accomplice by using the Accomplice Import/Export wizard.
To import Activities and Notes from a spreadsheet, click File > Import/Export > Import Activities from Spreadsheet, and the import wizard will guide you through the rest of the process.

If you would like to import spreadsheet items as sub-activities of one of your Accomplice activities, select the activity in Accomplice before running the Import wizard. When the Wizard starts, it will present you with the option to turn your data into sub-activities of the activity you have selected.
If you choose to import your spreadsheet data as sub-activities, you can choose to add the team of the parent activity to your new sub-activities as well. Just click on the "Share imported activities and notes this activity's team" checkbox.
Importing Activities and Notes
Once you have started the Accomplice import wizard, open your spreadsheet and select the rows and columns you wish to move to Accomplice. Copy your selection to the clipboard.
Next, click the "next" button in the Accomlice import wizard to move to the mapping screen. Here you will assign your spreadsheet columns an Accomplice value. For example, you can designate one of your spreadsheet columns the "due date," one the "category," and one the "importance." If you like, you can click the "Set Columns from First (Header) Row" button to automatically set the first row of your spreadsheet as the Accomplice mapping "criteria." This means that if one of your spreadsheet column headers is "description" then the contents of that column will automatically be mapped to the "description" field in Accomplice.
Note that you must designate one of your spreadsheet columns as the Accomplice Description. The value of the column that you label the Description will become the name of the Accomplice activity.
If you would like to import notes directly from your spreadsheet into Accomplice, just follow this criteria: the first column must be empty in order for the Accomplice wizard to recognize that row as a note. Also, the note's contents must be mapped to the "Description" field. This means that any content that you would like to turn into an Accomplice note must be displayed in the "Description" column in your excel spreadsheet. Imported notes will be linked to the activities directly above them in the spreadsheet.
Once you have finished mapping your spreadsheet columns to Accomplice fields, click "Next." The Accomplice wizard will then ask you to translate any unrecognizable values in your spreadsheet into values in Accomplice. When you have finished translating all of these values, you can either save your new mapping "template" for future use, or just click "Finish" to import your new activities.
