How do I integrate with Thunderbird on U3?
At this time, Accomplice is not able to integrate with the Thunderbird client running on your U3 stick, though we are taking steps to research this with the hope that in future versions of Accomplice you will be able to use the two together "on the go."
The issue is that Accomplice is designed to talk to your system registry to determine which email client to integrate with. But when you run Thunderbird from your U3 drive, your registry does not indicate this, so Accomplice doesn't see anything there.
Other U3 applications run into similar problems: for example, if you have Firefox on your U3 drive, and Internet Explorer on your actual computer, then when you click on a url link in your U3 version of Thunderbird, the website will open in Internet Explorer, not Firefox.
Regardless, we are working to understand the obstacles currently in place, and hope to find a solution in a future version of Accomplice.
To choose the email and calendar client to integrate with your Accomplice, open your preferences to the Email and Calendar folder, and configure your settings however you'd like.
