Create a subtask

To create a subtask, select an activity and click on the "Subtask" button in the Activity Toolbar. A sub-activity will appear below your selected activity.

You can also use a keyboard shortcut to create sub-activities: just press ctrl+enter to create a sub-activity of the currently selected activity.

When you create a subtask, the "parent" activity acquires a small plus/minus box just to the left of its description and status (see the picture below). You can click on this box to expand or collapse the sub-activities underneath it. Note that when you first click on the plus/minus box to expand your subtasks, only those tasks that have statuses of "active" or "pending" will be expanded - to see your "completed," "canceled," or "filed" subtasks, click on the plus/minus sign a second time.

If you would like to expand all your sub-activities at once, click on the "Expand All" button in the Activity Toolbar. All of the subtasks for the activities currently displayed will be expanded. Vice Versa, click on the "Collapse All" button to hide all sub-activities.
