How do I register with Accomplice?

In order to take advantage of Accomplice's peer to peer sharing capabilities, you must register and verify at least one of your e-mail addresses. This allows us to connect you to all your friends and co-workers on our peer-to-peer sharing network while simultaneously protecting your privacy by confirming that you have access to the e-mail accounts you register with Accomplice. It also ensures that we will be able to notify you of all the latest Accomplice updates. Once our server has verified your e-mail address, all activities that your teammates send to your e-mail address will go directly into your Accomplice activity list.

If you'd like, you can register all of your e-mail addresses with Accomplice. If you register multiple email addresses, all activities that are shared with ANY of your e-mail addresses will arrive safely in your activity list.

The first step on the way to registering is to download and install Accomplice.

When you start up Accomplice for the first time, you will be asked to register your name, a short alias, and at least one e-mail address (you can enter more if you'd like). If you have not yet received a verification code for your e-mail address, just leave the "Verification" field blank. Click "Register and Continue."

Once you have registered your e-mail address(es), Accomplice will send you an e-mail asking you to verify them for your protection.

To verify your e-mail address(es), click on the "Verify My Email" button in the menu. Enter the verification code provided in the e-mail, and click "OK." Note that you must be on-line in order for the verification to succeed. Once you have verified your e-mail address you can begin sharing notes and activities with anyone you like!

If you have already registered and verified your e-mail address, and you would like to register additional e-mail addresses to your profile, just click on the Tools menu, and select "Verify and Add Email(s)"

After you've added your e-mail addresses, click "OK." A verification code will be sent to the e-mail address(es) you added. Once you have the verification codes that correspond to the e-mail addresses you registered, verify them as you did with your primary e-mail. In the mean time, you can continue sharing activities and notes.

If you have multiple e-mail addresses, and you receive an invitation from a friend to begin using Accomplice, don't try to download and install Accomplice a second time. Just add the invited e-mail address to your existing Accomplice account, and then verify it with the code enclosed in the invitation. From then on, you will receive activities sent to both your primary and your secondary e-mail addresses.
