How to revert to a backup
Since you're using Accomplice on a U3 drive, you'll need to first locate your data backup. If you've configured your backups to be made in a custom location, just grab them from that location, and follow the instructions below (skipping steps 6 and 7).
If you never changed any of the default backup settings, here's how to find your data backup:
1. Plug in your U3 drive
2. Open the U3 launchpad and click on "Explore (U3) Drive" (depending on the manufacturer, this may be a drive letter or simply "U3"). This will pop up a window containing a folder named "Documents"
3. Open the "Documents" folder and you should see another folder named "Accomplice."
4. Open the "Accomplice" folder and you'll see another named "default"
5. Open the "default" folder and you'll see another named "backup"
6. Here you'll see several folders. Accomplice makes weekly, daily, and hourly backups, as well as user-generated backups (these are backups that you explicitly tell Accomplice to make by clicking Tools > Force Backup). Open the folder that contains the backup you wish to use. If you'd like the most recent backup, you should probably open the "Hourly" folder. If you'd like to roll back further, choose either the "daily" or "weekly" folder.
7. Open the "data" folder and you'll see a file called "userdata.fdb" Copy this file.
8. Now click the "back" button until you see a list of several folders that includes "backup," "data," and "log." Open the "data" folder
9. Paste your userdata.fdb file here. This will overwrite your current data file, and "roll back" to the backup. If you'd like to make a copy of your current data file (which is also named "USERDATA.FDB") you should do that before pasting your backup here.
10. Once you've pasted your backup there, close the window and restart Accomplice. Accomplice will revert to your old data, and continue running from there.
NOTE: if you are using any of Accomplice's sharing features, rolling back to a backup may cause confusion with your team members. If any messages have been sent or received between the time of the backup and the present time, those messages will be lost when you revert to the backup.
If you are doing any sharing, and you need to revert to a backup, we recommend that you alert your team members first -- you and your team members may have to unshare and reshare some activities in order to bring your data back up to speed.
