Email
The Email viewlet acts as a portal into your email client, allowing you to read, write, and act on emails directly in Accomplice. Currently Accomplice integrates with Outlook 2003, Outlook XP, Outlook 2000, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, and Eudora. You can adjust your email integration settings through the email and calendar preferences.

Read and Write emails
To view your emails in Accomplice, just open the email viewlet. Depending on which email client you decide to integrate with, Accomplice will either update automatically to show you new emails as soon as they are received (Outlook '03, Outlook XP, and Outlook '00), or it will refresh every 2 minutes to display your most recent emails (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, and Eudora). If you are using Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or Eudora, you can refresh the viewlet manually by clicking on the "refresh" button in the email viewlet toolbar.

You can easily create new emails by clicking on the "new" button in the email viewlet toolbar.
If you'd like to see more of your emails, click on the right arrow to expand a helpful email panel. This panel can be resized however you like by clicking and dragging the border to the left or the right. If you would prefer to keep your emails displayed in the dashboard, but would still like to see more emails at once, click and drag the dotted border line above the viewlet to resize the viewlet to your liking.
Turn emails into shareable, trackable activities
If you have an email that you would like turn into an Accomplice activity you can do so by clicking and dragging the email from the viewlet to the Activities Outline. You can also right click on an email in the viewlet to turn it into an Accomplice activity.
When you create an activity from an an email, a note is automatically created and linked to the new activity. This note contains a condensed version of the email (sender, date and time, subject, and the first few lines of the message) in order to give you a sense of the message's contents for quick reference. The full email is attached to the note: just click on the attachment to view the whole email.
You can share these activities exactly as you would any other activity in your list. If you find you are sharing emails as Accomplice activities often, you may want to set your preferences to automatically share emails turned into activities.
Folders
To change the email folder you are viewing in Accomplice, just click on the button that reads "inbox." A tree of all your email folders will appear. Select the folder of your choice from the tree, and the Accomplice email viewlet will display all the items in that folder. Note that this feature is only available when integrating with Outlook 2003, Outlook XP, and Outlook 2000.
