Accomplice™, Task Management Software




If you have already registered Accomplice on one computer or U3 Smart drive, you can later move your Accomplice data to another computer or U3 Smart drive. The directions below show you how to move your data from one computer to another, but see the note at the bottom to modify them to move data to or from a U3 Smart drive. (Also, while you can move your data, you should not go back and forth between two copies of your data, because they will inevitably get out of sync: click here for more information.) Make sure that Accomplice is installed on both computers. If you are using a U3 Smart flash drive, make sure that Accomplice has been installed on the U3 Smart drive. And make sure you close Accomplice on both computers. Start on the computer where you have the data you wish to move (Computer 1). Click on the Windows' "Start" button, and select "Run." Type the following into the text box, and press <enter>: %appdata%\Accomplice When the window opens, you should see a folder labeled "Default." This is your Accomplice data. To move this data to a different computer you can use a portable drive, zip it up and send it as an email attachment, or place it on a shared network drive. No matter how you choose to move your data, we highly recommend that you rename or delete the original "Default" folder after you have completed this process, so you don't try to go back to it by mistake. On Computer 2, click on Windows' "Start" button and select "Run." Type the following into the text box, and press <enter>: %appdata%\Accomplice You're almost done now... When the window appears, paste the "Default" folder that you removed from Computer 1 here. NOTE: if you already started Accomplice on Computer 2, you will already have a Default folder there. Either delete it if you haven't used Accomplice on computer 2, or move it elsewhere first. You're done! Your Accomplice profile has now been moved from the first computer to the second. You can now add new activities, organize old ones, and pick up sharing right where you left off on your first computer. NOTE: if you're moving your Accomplice data to or from a U3 Smart drive, you'll find your Accomplice's Default folder in the Documents\Accomplice folder on that drive.
